Strawberry swirl apple crisp
Desserts
Delight the kids with these fun and easy apple cookies! They are a sweet treat that combines buttery dough, strawberry jam, and creative toppings for a playful Rosh Hashana cookie

Preheat the oven to 375F. To make the dough, beat margarine, sugar, and egg yolks until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Form the cookies: roll dough into 1-inch ball and place on uncreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Make a well in the center of each ball and fill with 1/2 teaspoon of jam. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom. Break pretzel sticks into smaller pieces for stems. Cut gummy belts into small pieces for leaves. Immediately after baking (don't let them cool down yet), insert a pretzel stem and a gummy leaf into the hot jam center of each cookie. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
